South County Community Services is working with Yes! Communities, the County of Kalamazoo, the Kalamazoo Foundation, and United Ways of South Central Michigan to provide assistance with rent for some households in Pavilion Estates that were affected by the May tornadoes. If you were invited to view this page, you were identified as a household that could use assistance with back rent. We have done most of the work already but do need income verification documents from you to be able to prevent your eviction.
We are not able to pledge for assistance until we receive your income documents. If you need help, please contact Drew at 649-2901 ext 4.
Please submit one of the following documents:
- 2 consecutive paystubs/paychecks from the past month
- Full bank statement (must include name, date, total amount in account, and show deposits and withdrawals) from the past month
- DHHS approval for any program in the past 6 months
- Recent SSI/SSDI benefits letter
- Recent ATM receipt for cash card if benefits received electronically

Documents may also be dropped off at 606 Spruce St, Vicksburg Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm.
Once income verification is completed, we will reach out to you with a pledge letter for the amount past due.
