  • Beyond the Blank Page: Creative Expression in Writing and Art – Wednesday, 10/7, 1-3:30 PM, $20, Nancy Smith will help you discover the unexpected beauty hidden within the pages of antique books. In this relaxing mixed-media workshop, you’ll transform vintage book pages into meaningful blackout poetry by finding words and phrases that speak to you. Then, you’ll incorporate your finished poem into a one-of-a-kind collage using curated papers, textures, and embellishments. No writing or art experience is necessary. This class is about exploration, creativity, and enjoying the process. You’ll leave with a finished piece that blends literature and visual art into a personal keepsake worthy of framing. All materials are provided, including antique book pages and specialty collage papers.   • Four Part Soft Pastel Series, Wednesdays, Oct 14, Oct 21, Oct 28, Nov 4, 1 – 3:00 pm, $85, In this four-part series, artist Helen Kleczynski will teach you the basics of soft pastels, with demonstrations and lots of practice time. You will build your skills and confidence so by the 4th session, you’ll be ready to create a larger piece from a photograph or object of your choosing with expert, patient guidance from Helen.   • Multi-strand Beaded Necklace, Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 2:00 – 4:45 pm, $35.00 This class is designed for beginners with no previous experience. You will learn how to measure wire for the length you want, string beads in colors that appeal to you, secure the strand with a crimp tube and a jump ring, attach the bail and charm, then attach the ends to a clasp. You will use a few tools that will be provided including wire cutters and pliers. We will also have available magnifying glasses with light for those who might need them. Bobbe will help guide you, and if needed step in so that you can have a finished product by the time you leave.   • Mosaic Garden Stake – Tuesday, 11/10, 1:30-4:30 PM, $65, Under the guidance of glass artist Deb Oliphant, you will learn how to cut glass and create an 8″ diameter mosaic piece to place into a durable garden stake.   • Thanksgiving Floral Arrangement – Tuesday, 11/24, 2-3:30 PM, $20, Mary Ann Kudary is bringing a bounty of fresh flowers and greens and a lifetime of experience in floral arranging. She will guide you in the best practices for preparing and arranging botanicals in autumn colors. You will walk out with a gorgeous arrangement fit for your Thanksgiving table or worthy of an impressive hostess gift!
